Dear Emma,

Further to our conversation today, I am writing to introduce you to the wonder project.   The wonder project (http://www.thewonderproject.co.uk/) creates exciting resources that help pupils tackle life’s big questions. They are presented in ways that enable a teacher to enjoy leading engaging lessons with ready prepared lessons.  With RE month approaching us we are keen to promote our resources to as many schools as possible.

Could you help us let teachers in your area know about this new and exciting resource?    Perhaps on your website?   By sending out post cards for us?

Creation – Evolution: Explore four key worldviews beliefs about our ‘Origins’

KS3 – Questioning Origins

This interactive computer resource lets pupils address six key questions relating to our ultimate origins. Packed onto a single DVD, Questioning Origins uses interactive whiteboard games, quizzes, presentations and worksheets to presents Christian, Hindu, Humanist and Islamic worldviews, and invites pupils to begin to form their own conclusions.

The resource was listed in this year’s BETT awards in the “Secondary, FE and Skills Digital Content” category, confirming its world-leading status.

Questioning Origins presents many fully equipped lesson-options, but is based on the idea of spending 6 RE lessons in Year 9. It carries additional cross-curricular lessons in Art, English, Music and Science, and an additional lesson focusing on the life and fluctuating beliefs of Charles Darwin, which can be taught in many different subjects.

KS2 – Primary Questions

Starting by inviting pupils to ask questions of wonder things around them, this interactive resource then introduces them to some of the Christian, Hindu, Humanist and Islamic explanations of how they came to exist.

This cross-curricular six-lesson resource is packed with fun, helps pupils work in many different learning styles, and lets teachers prepare a tricky area with confidence.
